Hello and welcome to my new Sefton Focus blogsite 

My original long-standing site was hosted by the Assn of Lib Dem Councillors of which I'm no longer a member as I have retired from public office after 38 years in the saddle of local democracy here on Merseyside.

My postings can be about politics, local history, railways or things that interest me.

I remain a member of the Liberal Democrats although I'm hardly what you may call a loyal member due to my a Social Liberal views of the left sometimes being at odds with the direction of the party leadership.
